Zuckerberg Plans to Spend $60 Billion on Meta’s AI Investments

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Friday that the company plans to build a massive data center in Louisiana to power the latest Ai Llama. Mark Zuckerberg said in a post on Facebook that the company will invest more than $60 billion in the Meta AI along with the data center.

Mark Zuckerberg also said in his Facebook post that I hope that in 2025, Meta AI will become the leading assistant providing service to more than 1 billion people, and our company will also create an AI engineer who will begin contributing increasing amounts of code to development and research.

Meta’s chief financial officer Susan Lee said that this project will bring a huge jump in capital expenditure, from $38 billion to $40 billion in 2024. Mark Zuckerberg said that despite all these expenses, the company has enough capital to meet the upcoming expenses.

The announcement comes as a massive surge in AI investment. Earlier this week, President Donald Trump announced the launch of a project, named Project Stratagate “Which aim is to create a new company and an investment of up to $500 billion may be involved in the next 4 years”

This project had attracted the attention of SpaceX and Tesla owner Elon Musk and other top technology executives. With the growing popularity of Ai from companies like Meta, OpenAI and Anthropic, Ai technology has always been a hot topic.
